Hikikomori: Literally “pulling away, being confined”, i.e., “acute social withdrawal”) is a Japanese term to refer to the phenomenon of reclusive people who have chosen to withdraw from social life, often seeking extreme degrees of isolation and confinement because of various personal and social factors in their lives. The term hikikomori refers to both the sociological phenomenon in general as well as to people belonging to this societal group. (Source: Wikipedia)

Hikikomori Therapy is a collaboration song with my friend Jowin who wrote the lyrics and performed the vocals. He is from the state of Georgia, in the US of A, and I reckon he is a great rap artist whose lyrics actually tell a story and make a point. The song is completely different to anything I have done in the past, I like to experiment and this is the first experiment I bring to the public light outside of the usual House / Techno, 4/4 dance music you are used to hear from me… Expect some more because I got some surprises on the pipeline… So I hope you like it, you can download it here. Yes its true, I remixed Richard Dinsdale! And it’s out now on the Leeds imprint, LS City Records, along with remixes by Jamie Fisher, Hausjacker, Versus 5 and Snappa.

Richard Dinsdale is on fire at the minute, the Toolroom artist has been consistently delivering big tracks for the main rooms for the past couple of years making him a no stranger to the Beatport top 10, where he has been many times, last time he was there for at least 4 weeks peaking at #2

My mix has got early support by well known names from the scene, among them: LondonGround, D.O.N.S, David Penn, Roog/Hardsoul, Ant Brooks, Stephan M & Laurent Simeca, Anna Kiss and Dan Mckie. The release with the other mixes also got support by people like  Tom Novy, The Scumfrog, Olav Bazoski, Warren Clarke, Hayley Parsons, Luke Pompey, Lissat & Voltaxx, Patrick M, Juan Kidd and many more.

Needless to say I am very proud of this release, I quite like the end result.

Finally! after 10 months of wait Luz De Luna  is finally out!

Luz De Luna is a track that came out of a few emails with Jim Breese, an amazing sax jam from the incredibly talented, Ibiza based jazz musician Laura Fowles a.ka. The Lovely Laura and a 2 day session producing it with Jim in my studio in Bogota.

The very night we finished it, Jim was DJing at Piso 30, a very popular club in town, the crowd reaction to it was immediate, we both knew right there that we had something special going on. Since, Jim has been testing all around the world and it works out every time.
